Leaf flowers are usually flat discs with a pattern printed on them. This one is built in layers instead: five broad petals, then a smaller inner ring, then a tight centre tucked in last. It reads as a flower from across the room.
Built in three layers
We start with the outer petals, woven as one piece, then add a second smaller ring on top so the petals overlap. The centre is a single coiled strip pressed into the middle and locked from behind. Each flower takes around thirty-five minutes.
