Weaving small is harder than weaving large. The strips have to be cut narrow, the tension has to stay even over short distances, and there is no room to hide a loose end. This little basket is made exactly like its full-size cousin, just at a fraction of the scale.
Small work, same method
The technique does not change: a flat base, straight sides, a folded rim. What changes is that everything happens in the fingertips rather than the whole hand, and a single leaflet yields several baskets instead of one.
